Chiefs rookie WR Jonathan Baldwin had a coming-out party in Monday night's win over the Chargers. He caught 2 balls for 27 yards on KC's opening possession and finished with 82 yards and a score on 5 grabs. The highlight was a 39-yard TD late in the 1st quarter. Baldwin ran a deep post into the end zone and skied over CB Marcus Gilchrist for his first NFL score. Although he also dropped a couple passes, Baldwin displayed dangerous deep speed, excellent body control, and jump-out-of-the-gym ability. “I was encouraged with his progression the last couple of weeks,” HC Todd Haley said. “I think everyone is excited about him.” Baldwin played in mostly 3-WR sets but finished 2nd on the team with 8 targets. He could start pushing Steve Breaston' for snaps in 2-WR looks.
