Before Jets RB Joe McKnight can even think about eating into RB Shonn Greene's workload, he needs to win the 3rd-down role. RBs coach Anthony Lynn says that McKnight is competing for that job with 2nd-year back Bilal Powell. “Bilal has done more (blocking in the past)," Lynn said. "I’m not saying that he’s better than Joe. That’s why we have camp. When we leave Cortland, we’ll know. But those two are competing for that job." Powell was a 4th-round pick last year and managed just 21 yards on 13 carries in his debut season. Consider McKnight the favorite here, but the Jets are going to make him earn it. He's just a late-round flier in PPR formats.
