The New York Jets weren’t able to produce many touchdowns offensively in 2011, which carried into the preseason. Well Jet fans have a new reason to be worried about the Jets’ offense now, as starting quarterback Mark Sanchez is reportedly dating actress Eva Longoria.
According to the New York Post, Longoria and Sanchez on Saturday took in the Broadway hit “Rock of Ages” and took in a romantic dinner at the Japanese hot spot Nobu. If you’re in New York in upcoming days, don’t be alarmed by all the curse words coming out of Jets’ fans’ mouths when talking about the team.
Jets fans were really upset about Sanchez at the end of last year, as entering week 15, the Jets had a 8-5 record and controlled their own playoff destiny. Then disaster struck as Sanchez imploded as he threw for 615 yards passing with five touchdowns seven interceptions and 11 sacks, which caused the Jets to miss the playoffs all together.
In New York, Sanchez’s dating habits will surely will be headline news all week long going into week one. The problem is week one is already an important game as they host the division rival Buffalo Bills.
The Bills this offseason upgraded their pass rush by signing defensive ends Mario Williams and Mark Anderson, meaning Sanchez will be under pressure all day on Sunday, especially with the problems they were having at right tackle during the preseason.
To put it simple, win or lose , if Sanchez doesn’t look good Sunday he is going to get lambasted by the New York media on Monday.
