Jets 7 Cardinals 6

We all knew this day would come. We all knew that at some point March Sanchez would be benched in favor of Tim Tebow. Half of that was true today. Sanchez was benched by his coach Rex Ryan, but not for Tim Tebow, he was benched for Greg McElroy.

McElroy came in and scorched the poor unassuming Arizona Cardinals. Sort of. McElroy was good enogh to complete 5 of his 7 passes for 29 yards and a touchdown that was enough to give the New York Jets a 7-6 win over the Cardinals.

Why not Tebow? Tebow wasn’t even active for the game on Sunday.

Jeff Cumberland caught McElroy’s game winning touchdown pass and the defense did enough to make it hold up.

Ryan Lindley continued to struggle for the Cardinals completing only 10 of his 31 passes for 72 yards and an interception.

Next week, the Jets (5-7) travel to Florida to play the Jaguars, and the Cardinals (4-8) will travel to Seattle to play the Seahawks.
