The Raiders played it safe by holding WR Denarius Moore (hamstring) out of Monday night's opener against the Chargers. It sounds like he'll be ready for Week 2. "He was very close," HC Dennis Allen said. "He probably could have played in the game, but I chose not to play him because it's a long season and we have 15 more of these games left to play. I wanted to make sure we had him healthy for the majority of the season." Oakland could certainly have used Moore's field-stretching abilty on a night when QB Carson Palmer checked-down to RB Darren McFadden far too often. Moore's return will push rookie WR Rod Streater into a slot role.
