Chris Cooley placed on IR

The Redskins have placed TE Chris Cooley on IR.  He was expected back from his finger surgery in 6 weeks, but it sounds like it was his bum knee that forced him out for the year.  Cooley visited Dr. James Andrews last Sunday, and while surgery was not prescribed, it was likely recommended that Cooley rest the knee.  He'll be 30 years old next season and due $3.8 million.  It's possible, given the business nature of the game,  that Washington cuts Cooley this offseason.
