Antonio Gates plays full complement of snaps

After being on the field for just two-thirds of San Diego's offensive snaps last week, TE Antonio Gates played in 75 of 81 snaps against the Chiefs Monday night.  It was the 2nd-most snaps he's played this year (79 in Week 1).  While that troublesome foot will continue to be worth monitoring, Gates is pretty close to 100% right now.  Despite facing consistent double-coverage last night, he still managed just haul in 4 balls for 73 yards.  As long as he's active on gameday, Gates remains a must-start.
