As the reign of Candlestick Park comes to a close, fans can now purchase the actual seats from the stadium. The very seats that have seen some of the greatest football players in the history of the NFL, as well as five Super Bowl championships. The seats are sold in pairs and cost $749.
Buyers will have to wait to get the seats until they are removed from the stadium sometime in late 2014, and they are not sure how many of the approximately 69,000 light-red-colored seats at Candlestick would be available for sale.
The 49ers, who beat the Seattle Seahawks at Candlestick this past Sunday, are in their final season at the 53-year-old stadium, where the team has played since 1971.
