Seattle, WA- The Seattle Seahawks have resigned CB Jamar Taylor and waiver Parry Nickerson Tuesday afternoon. Before the start of the Seahawks’ season against the Bengals, Nickerson was inactive because head coach Pete Carroll said that he did not feel like he was ready and was still figuring out how the Seahawks play.
Nickerson was acquired from a trade from the New York Jets for a 7th round pick. What the Seahawks are planning to do is if Nickerson can clear waivers, they would sign him to the practice squad. The Seahawks love his work ethic and thinks he can be a great fit for what they are trying to accomplish in the near future.
Taylor was signed today because Ugo Amadi was hurt in the game against the Bengals. Taylor has been in the league since 2013, which will add more of veteran leadership to the team, as well as help out the younger players. Taylor has great awareness and the ability to be a game-changer when called on. It will be interesting to see how the Seahawks will use him during the season.
