Analyzing the Bills

Buffalo- With a lot of changes with the personnel and a lot of players that are on the bubble making the team or players losing their starting positions, head coach Sean McDermott cleared the air about a couple of concerns.

Starters on the offensive line have been haggled with injuries and they are very thin in that position and McDermott respond to questions from different reports about the offensive line and how healthy can they be at the start of the regular season. “Yeah, I mean like I told you before, it’s always a concern when guys are out or missing time, said McDermott. We got to continue to move forward and find a way to manage the reps. That’s probably the biggest thing, going into the game and how we allocate reps and throughout the numbers there with the twos and threes, but we will find the way.

With the addition of Cole Beasley and John Brown at the wide receiver position, the Bills still need to adjust and find a way of getting in sync with each other. “I thought that they had a better day yesterday than I have noticed in the previous day or two before that. I like the attitude yesterday. I think we are continuing to establish time on task with that unit as well with Cole Beasley and with John Brown so we just have to continue to work and good things happen when you work hard, said McDermott.

The young QB Josh Allen has had his ups and downs in camp, but McDermott likes what he sees from his young QB. “One of the things about Josh is that he is un-phased by some of that. I’m sure he’s aware of it, but he’s a mentally tough guy who competes and he’s focused on himself growing each and every day and each and every rep and that’s what he needs to be doing right now. He’ll continue to grow and evolve and his leadership influence will continue to grow and evolve and that’s good for us.”

The Bills will see have their first preseason game on Thursday night against the Colts, so it will be interesting to see how Allen will perform.
