Hines Ward has been keeping busy despite the NFL lockout over the past month. Ward and his partner Kym Johnson have received accolades for their performance on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” and last week Ward served as an honoree at the 38th annual Art Rooney Awards.
“I’m having a blast,” said Ward. “A lot of people were shocked [that he really can dance] and I’ve been shocked myself.”
Ward and Johnson have been rehearsing a new number and will soon take on the paso doble, a challenging Spanish march-style dance step.
“I’m putting in the same work ethic as I approach football, putting in the long hours,” said Ward. “Even when I go home, I’m writing the dance routine down on a piece of paper.”
