In Monday night’s matchup between the San Diego Chargers and Denver Broncos, Philip Rivers had one of his worst performances to date. After going up 24-0 at the half, the Chargers were anemic in the second half and lost 35-24. Rivers threw 4 interceptions and lost two fumbles in the loss.
In a post-game press conference, a reporter asked head coach Norv Turner whether or not he considered putting in backup quarterback Charlie Whitehurst in for Rivers, reported utsandiego.com
Turner emphatically answered, “No.”
“If you want to make this about somebody,” he added, “it’s not about one of the guys in there. Make it about me.”
