Tom Coughlin and Giants Players Upset With 49ers Point Spread

This Sunday, The New York Giants will take on The San Francisco 49ers in a rematch of last year’s NFC championship game. On Wedesday, according to the New York Daily news, Giants head coach Tom Coughlin expressed his displeasure with The 49ers being six point favorites at home.

“Nobody gives us a chance to win,” Coughlin said. “We’ll see.”

Defensive end Justin Tuck also weighed in. “I don’t think we like it,” Tuck said. “I think we like to have people say that this football team has proven us wrong a lot of times and maybe we should give them the benefit of the doubt.”

Wide receiver Victor Cruz also added, “It’s basically how it goes for us every year, “Nobody ever picks us to win. We’ve always got our backs against the wall, which I guess in a sense is how we like to play. It brings out the best in us. So it’s fine with us.”

A few hours later, 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said, “That’s probably an exaggeration — a big one.” And he’s probably right. But that won’t stop Coughlin from playing the us-against-the-world card.
