Baltimore Ravens offensive guard Marshal Yanda had thigh surgery on Christmas Eve, it was reported today.
It was much worse than just a thigh contusion, which was suffered against the Cleveland Browns on December 24th.
“I had to have surgery the night of the game, it’s called compartment syndrome,” Yanda said. “I got leg-whipped in my calf area. I had surgery on Christmas Eve. It was a nasty scar.”
“It’s over with now. I got the stitches out. Your muscle swells up. They had to emergency surgery that night and slit the muscle open to relieve the pressure.”
