It was Taiwan Jones, not Mike Goodson, who operated as the Raiders' #2 RB in Saturday night's preseason game. Jones mixed in with the starters, entering the game on Oakland's 3rd possession. He finished the night with 10 carries for 50 yards, plus 2 catches for 8. Goodson, meanwhile, mustered only 18 yards on his 7 totes. He worked exclusively with the backups. It's been a rough month for Goodson, who suffered a scary neck injury and has also been dealing with shoulder soreness. He's averaging just 1.8 yards per carry this preseason. Raiders insider Paul Gutierrez believes Jones is now the #2 RB. We're not so sure. Jones struggles with durability and has been dealing with a bum hamstring this month. Saturday night was his first preseason action. And he's undersized at a wiry 6'0, 197 pounds. If RB Darren McFadden goes down, our money is still on Goodson leading the backfield in touches. Jones -- plus FB Marcel Reece -- would be involved too though.
