The Buffalo Bills entered the National Football League Draft only needing specific positions after addressing their pass rush in free agency. In the first three rounds of the draft the Bills already addressed those needs.
Their two biggest needs were cornerback, offensive tackle and a speed wide receiver to stretch the field.
With the Bills taking South Carolina cornerback Stephon Gilmore, they now have a second big cornerback to complement Aaron Williams. The is key is that many teams like the New England Patriots are now implementing two tight ends into their formations that are big and athletic.
As for offensive tackle the Bills now have a quality starting left tackle that they have lacked for years. This is key, because it allows head coach Chan Gailey to expand the offense like he wants to.
As for wide receiver taking T. J. Graham gives them the speed to stretch the field vertically.
Many teams after the first couple weeks of the season realized that they Bills tended to favor a short passing game. This was due to the fact that their starting left tackle Demetrius Bell was always hurt and the lacked a speed receiver.
The rest of the draft for the Bills will fill depth at positions that they were surely lacking last year.
