Manning Still Struggling Through Rehab – Lacks Velocity and Ability to Go Left

People who are catching Peyton Manning’s passes as he works through rehab are saying that he still hasn’t gotten back to his old level of velocity, and the he cannot effectively throw to his left, according to NFL Network’s Mike Lombardi.

Lombardi indicated he is skeptical of any franchise putting its hopes on Manning.  But, of course, the rehab process isn’t completed yet.  It does make it that much more unlikely that they Colts will invest the $28 million in Manning’s bonus payment due in under a month.

And as soon as Manning does get strength back, there will be suitors waiting.  Based on the Colts the last two years, Manning can account for an extra 10 wins per season, and who wouldn’t invest in that?
