Seahawks’ injuries going forward

After defeating the Detroit Lions in the Wild Card, the Seattle Seahawks will face the Atlanta Falcons. The Seahawks are very thin in health and some key players have some injuries that could alter their game plan against the Falcons. Marcel Reece is the only player right now that may have a serious injury. We’ve got to see about Marcel,” Seattle’s head coach Pete Carroll said in his postgame press conference. “Marcel might’ve banged his foot up a little bit tonight. That’s all we’re really reporting right now.”

Jimmy Graham left the field for a couple of series after a vicious hit by Tavon Wilson, but Carroll said it was only minor. Seattle’s defense has struggled without Earl Thomas, giving 24 or more points to opponents, but they cracked down on the Lions. The Lions were held without a touchdown and could not establish any rhythm with getting into the game.

The showdown between the Falcons and Seahawks should be a great one. The Seahawks could be in trouble if they get too conservative in their game planning. Matt Ryan and the Falcons have a receiving core that has been explosive this season. They are ranked 1st in yards per play. They are averaging 33.8 per play and have a scoring rate of 52.6 percent.

With the injures that have plagued Seattle this year, they will have to put pressure on Ryan and be physical with the Falcons in order to stop their potent offense. seattle
