Speaking to the media for the first time since undergoing his latest neck surgery, Colts QB Peyton Manning said that he's still hoping to play this season. "I think you have to have hope until the doctors rule you out," he said. At the same time, he realizes that the team may eventually need to place him on IR to free up a roster spot. "We're having a lot of injuries so if they come to me and say they have to make a move, I won't fight them on that." With the Colts sitting at 0-4, their season is on the brink. If they don't win a couple games this month, they'll be no reason for Indy to bring Peyton back this season. We're still betting against him taking the field before 2012.
