Running back JONAS GRAY of the New England Patriots has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week, the NFL announced today.

- Gray rushed for 201 yards on 37 carries (5.4 average) and four touchdowns in the Patriots’ 42-20 win at Indianapolis.
- He is the first NFL player to score his first four career rushing touchdowns in one game since HERB HENDERSON of the 1921 Evansville Crimson Giants.
- Gray is the third player in NFL history to rush for at least 200 yards and score a rushing touchdown in each quarter of a game, joining COOKIE GILCHRIST (December 8, 1963) and CLINTON PORTIS (December 7, 2003).
- Gray’s four touchdowns tied the Patriots’ single-game record set by RANDY MOSS, who had four touchdown catches on November 18, 2007 against Buffalo.
- His 201 rushing yards were the third-most in a game in franchise history, trailing only TONY COLLINS (212) and JIM NANCE(208).
- In his first season from Notre Dame, this is Gray’s first career Player of the Week Award.
