KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Saturday that the club has signed linebacker Dee Ford. Ford was the team’s first-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft (23rd overall). The Chiefs have now signed all six of their draft selections.
Ford (6-2, 252) played rush end and outside linebacker at the Auburn University. He saw action in 52 games (20 starts) recording 93 tackles (59 solo), 20.5 sacks (-163 yards), 27.5 tackles for loss and 40 pressures. He added three forced fumbles, two pass breakups and one interception. Ford was named first-team All-SEC his senior season and recorded 2.0 sacks in the BCS title game vs. Florida State. The Odenville, Alabama native prepped at Clair County High School.
