Another Outstanding Game for Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers led the Packers to their second victory of the season Sunday winning 30-23 over the Panthers. Rodgers threw for 308 yards and two touchdowns in a mistake-free game where he completed 19 of 30 passes.

Meanwhile Rookie Cam Newton had another 400-yard passing day but couldn’t seal the game with a win. He threw for 432 yards and a touchdown, but also had 3 interceptions in the game. Newton ran for a 4-yard touchdown with 37 seconds left to bring Carolina within seven, but the Packers recovered the onside kick to seal the victory.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft completed 28 of 46 passes, was sacked four times and also finished as Carolina’s top rusher with 53 yards.  So far, even with the interceptions in today’s game, he has exceeded the high expectations that were placed upon him.

Green Bay safety Nick Collins was carried off the field on a stretcher after he injured his neck in the fourth quarter as he tried to tackle Panthers’ running back Jonathan Stewart on a catch. Stewart did manage a small wave to the crowd as he was being carried off the field.
