The Colts have released an official statement confirming that QB Peyton Manning will be re-evaluated by doctors. He’s recently been experiencing back soreness and tricep weakness.
“During the last week, the rate of improvement in Peyton’s rehabilitation process slowed,” the statement reads. “As of now Peyton continues to deal with a complicated neurological recovery, the end date of which is unpredictable.”
It sounds like he’s moving in the wrong direction here. The team also revealed that Manning won’t practice this week, making him extremely doubtful for the season opener against the Texans.
Look for QB Kerry Collins to get the start in that one. And at this point, we wouldn’t be surprised if Manning missed a good chunk of the season.
