California defensive end Cameron Jordan will be a Saint after New Orleans selected him with the 24th pick in the NFL draft.
Analysis: The son of longtime Vikings tight end Steve Jordan, Cameron is a versatile all-around athlete for the defensive line. He may be an imperfect fit in the Saints’ defensive scheme, but this late in the first round he represented too much value to pass up for Sean Payton and defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, who will find a place for him.
